Anybody up for some aural sex’
There is one sure fire way of knowing that your product really has ‘arrived’ in popular culture – and that is if somebody goes out and makes a porn film based on your product. And that it has a great name too.
Whilst nothing will probably replace the sheer genius of the naming of Star Trek: The Next Penetration or Shaving Ryan’s Privates, you would have to admit that Whorecraft is a pretty good effort nonetheless.
Now, the extent of my knowledge about World Of Warcraft stops and ends with the South Park ‘Make Love, Not Warcraft’, but then that applies to a lot of things. South Park has taught me far more than I would care to admit.
So therefore, I’m not exactly the best person to ask on whether they’re going to end up doing a bang-on job of sending up and doing a really accurate rendition of the original game, albeit with a pornographic twist.
But it’s always struck me as odd that these movie, TV or video game adaptations never get a franchise. I would have thought that the scope for success and more ‘storylines’ in these particular pieces of porn would be huge.
With World Of Warcraft being such a vast, seemingly unending game, their scope to turn this into a great franchise should be huge. But just how many Warcraft fans are going to become Whorecraft fans’
