Since I look at a lot of lesbian porn on sites such as Sapphic Erotica I evidently have a big interest in not only this porn genre but this lifestyle as well. It also means that I have seen a lot of shit that is right and some shit that isn’t so right. So today I decided to cover some lesbian myths.

Heterosexual guys have a lot of misconceptions about lesbians. Either because that is what they have learned from their peers or they learned it from some of the porn sites they have visited. While some porn sites take this lifestyle seriously, as Sapphic Erotica does, not every porn site puts forth an accurate or even a positive view of lesbian sex. So I want to take a moment to smash through some of the more common misconceptions about girl on girl loving.

One of the most persistent lesbian sex myths is that all lesbians hate men. That isn’t even remotely true. Just because a woman is physically, mentally and emotionally attracted to another woman doesn’t mean that she hates men or even dislikes them. Sure, there might be some lesbians who don’t like men for one reason or another but in my experience these ladies are atypical. Most of the lesbians I know have guy friends.

Another pervasive myth is that lesbians secretly want to be men. That too is so untrue it isn’t even funny. Most lesbians enjoy being a woman and couldn’t think of being anything but a woman. Since there is a lot of diversity in sexual expression there might be some women who are attracted to women and want to be a man but that doesn’t mean all of them do.

Sometimes porn sites such as How To Kiss A Girl makes it appear that all lesbian women are attracted to all women. Once again this is simply untrue. Just because a woman identifies as a lesbian doesn’t mean she wants to sleep with every other woman.

Another myth that I am afraid is perpetuated by porn is that all lesbians do is have sex. That simply isn’t true. While sex might constitute an important part of a lesbian relationship, as it does in heterosexual relationships, it doesn’t mean that all there is is sex. Lesbians connect on mental and emotional levels as do straight couples..

One last myth for you. A myth that says that women are lesbians because they haven’t met the right man yet. This is utter bullshit that is like the myth that says that if gay men fuck the right woman they will not be gay anymore. Of course, this is a tough myth for straight guys to let go of because there are a lot of attractive lesbians out there and us guys are hoping that we can be the ones to “flip” them. Sorry guys. It’s not going to happen.
