Review
At the time of this review, this site had 228 videos available to members. The videos run anywhere from 56 to 75 minutes in length and can be streamed in the Flash format or downloaded in the MP4 format. Maximum resolution for these videos appears to be approximately 578×434 @ 800 Kbps. Videos have no DRM protection. This site doesn’t really have any picture galleries except for a small handful of really small thumbnails that give you an idea of what occurs during the film.
Gay. The ClassicPorn is the kind of vintage gay porn site that many people have been waiting for. Most of the films are from the 80s, but there are also enough films from the 1970s and 1990s for me to say that this is a pretty well rounded collection of classic gay porn and erotica. Some of the films that can be found in this collection include the infamous Boys Of Venice, Big Men On Campus and All Night Long.
Fans of the films of yesteryear will also recognize some of the adult film stars represented in this collection. Some of these names include Lee Jennings, Tanner Reaves, Brian Yates and David Dean. There is also a film called The Private Pleasures of John Holmes that features this iconic straight porn star performing in what is believed to be his only gay sex scene.
While the quality of the videos can be grainy, as you would except from videos taken from VHS and 8mm films, they do contain some hard hitting action from an era where the hair was big and the cumshots even bigger. An era of porn that includes lots of bareback action. And this is true whether you are watching the hard bodies going to the boneyard in the movie Workout or the double rainbow pumping action of UninhiBIted.
Members of this site also get access to three other bonus sites. These sites include The Classic Porn, Classic Porn Scenes and the Retro Porn Archive.
User Interface
Navigation is pretty good on this site. Members can search for videos according to film star and according to video titles. Movies can be sorted according to top rating or top viewing by other members.
I felt that the member’s area was a little too cluttered with ads for my tastes. It’s not the worst I’ve seen and it doesn’t really interfere with navigating the site but it is a bit unsightly. Downloads were quick, however, as were the streaming of the videos.
Conclusion
Overall, I felt that Gay. The ClassicPorn was a decent site. It has a fairly good collection of movies and while the quality wasn’t perfect, the videos were still really entertaining. I also like the fact that they had some pretty hard to find titles that should keep even the most die hard classic porn fan happy.
If I had one complaint about this site, it’s the lack of available viewing options. Videos can be downloaded only in the MP4 format and you aren’t given a choice. It would have been nice to have had more options when checking out this good collection of vintage gay porn.
