Porn not only sexually stimulates us, but sometimes it can help smash through boundaries. Boundaries such as what society deems to be beautiful. Suicide Girls is one of these sites that seems to be able to not only do this, but do this well.

If you have never visited Suicide Girls, then let me tell you that you are missing out on one hell of a special experience. This is a site that celebrates alternate beauty and all its forms. Within the borders of this site, members will get to see some of the most sensual and sexual goth and punk girls in the world. Something that you just can’t see anywhere else.

While the site provided for me an erotic experience, it also got me thinking about society’s definition of beauty and how it has changed over the years. And how it is currently evolving even as I write this blog. Let me share some of those thoughts with you.

We all know that beauty is a subjective experience. At least that is something we all should know. What might be beautiful for you might be repugnant to me, and vice versa. But society has deemed itself worthy to set forth an image of beauty that everyone is expected to accept.

Society expresses beauty as being slim, with big tits and a perfect smile. But that doesn’t always correlate with the individual’s concept of beauty. Beauty is different to every one of us, and thankfully more and more people are embracing that notion. Thanks to sites such as the Suicide Girls.

This site provides us with an alternate version of beauty. One that isn’t always accepted by mainstream society. Women with unnaturally colored hair, and tattoos and piercings. Women that can’t be pigeon holed into society’s version of beauty.

At one point in time rubenesque women were all the rage. Then women were expected to have a perfect hourglass shape, which was obtained through some very tortuous devices. Then women during the 1920s were expected to be be heroin thin. And all of these concepts of beauty have come in and out of fashion, and eventually back in again.

While things are in vogue, women are expected to adhere to the qualities of beauty that society pushes. Whether they fit in it or not. And this causes numerous problems for the women who try to meet society’s expectations. Which, in a word, is bullshit.

This trend is changing, however. More and more people are embracing concepts of beauty that don’t align with society’s concept of women. More and more men are appreciating the “odd” beauties out there and more women are embracing their true inner selves. This will ultimately make for a kinder and gentler society.

It will also make for a more erotic society. Once guys embrace the alternate beauties that can be found on sites such as Suicide Girls, they will unleash sides to their sexuality they never knew existed. I have already begun my journey toward alternate beauty. How about you’
