HonestPornReviews ("we," "us," or "this site") is a review site: we test, rate, and write about adult entertainment sites so visitors can make an informed choice before they pay for a membership. This policy explains what little information we collect, why, and the choices you have about it.
Our Core Principle
We do not sell your information, and we do not require you to register or hand over personal details to read reviews. This has been true since the site launched, and it remains the foundation of this policy. What has changed is the technology underneath the site — this page explains that plainly, instead of leaving it unsaid.
Information We Collect
Browsing the site does not require an account. We collect information only in these limited cases:
- Server logs: like most websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically logs standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and troubleshooting. These logs are not used to build advertising profiles.
- Comments: you can leave a review comment without creating an account or giving an email address. The name, score and comment you submit are published with the review. WordPress also stores the IP address and browser of each comment privately, so we can moderate comments and stop spam; these are never shown on the site.
- Direct contact: if you email us or use the contact form, your message and the name and email address you give are sent to us by email so we can reply. They are not shared with third parties.
- Deal alerts: if you ask to be emailed when a site goes on sale, we store your email address, the site (or "all deals"), your language and the dates you signed up and were last emailed. Nothing is sent until you confirm by clicking the link in the first email, every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after a week. Unsubscribing deletes the address.
- Review requests: site owners who submit a site for review give us their name, email address and details of the site, which may include login details for a review account. These are stored in our admin area only to carry out the review, and passwords are stored encrypted.
Cookies
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run third-party analytics on this site. The only cookie we set is a language preference: if you pick a language from the menu at the top of the page, a cookie named hpr_lang remembers it for a year so the site keeps showing in that language. It holds only the language code (for example fr_FR) and is removed if you switch back to English. Staff who log in to manage the site also get WordPress's standard login cookies. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies at any time in their settings.
On browsers that support it, the site can save copies of pages you have viewed on your own device so they load faster and can be opened offline. These copies stay in your browser, are not sent to us, and are removed when you clear your browser's site data.
We Do Not Sell Your Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade any information collected through this site to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else. Anything you send us privately — by email, contact form, or comment — stays confidential and is used only to operate and moderate the site.
Links to Other Sites
Our reviews link out to third-party adult entertainment sites we do not own or control. Those sites have their own privacy policies and data practices, and we encourage you to read them before signing up. We are not responsible for how a third-party site you visit through one of our review links handles your information.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK) or the CCPA (California) may give you the right to ask what data we hold about you, request a copy of it, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how it is processed. Since we collect so little to begin with, most requests amount to deleting a comment or an email thread. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

Data Retention
Comments are kept for as long as the review they belong to is published, unless you ask us to remove one. Direct correspondence (email, contact form submissions) is kept only as long as needed to resolve the matter it relates to.
Age Restriction & Content Compliance
This site contains adult material and is intended for visitors aged 18 and over only. All models depicted in reviewed content were 18 years of age or older at the time of production, consistent with 18 U.S.C. § 2257 record-keeping requirements maintained by the respective content producers. This site is labeled Restricted to Adults (RTA) so that filtering software can restrict access by minors.

If we ever start collecting information beyond what is described here, we will update this page before the change takes effect. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
